South County Museum’s annual Folk Art Quilt Show, celebrates both contemporary and historic quilt-making. Local quilters lend SCM their newly created treasures for three days that transform our barn-inspired Metz Exhibit Hall into one of the most beautiful quilt displays. The museum also highlights quilts from its collection and hosts daily presentations. This year, we are extending our Friday hours until 7pm to accommodate those with busy weekends who might pop in on their way home from work. During these evening hours, we plan special demos specifically for quilt novices. Come celebrate the beauty and vibrancy of Rhode Island’s quilt community.

Handicap accessible. The quilt show is located in our main exhibit building, the Metz Exhibit hall, which has handicap parking and ramp access.

Lots of parking, including bus parking is available.

Food: No food is available at the event, but we are minutes from multiple restaurants including fabulous ocean-front dining options.
