(re)location explores both the nuanced and complicated work by artists who have expressed their understanding of relocation from experience—the willingness to explore new places, the personal encounters with people who are relocating, the virtual and imagined relocation through image, by making the personal choice to move, or by forcibly being uprooted and displaced. Often these moves are extreme, yet they are the stories shaping our individual, collective, cultural, and social identities.
